Safe Streets for All People

Bend Bikes invites you to a series of rides and a lecture, Safe Streets for All! Join Sjors Van Duren, a transportation engineer and planner, to learn about Dutch design philosophy and how Bend can build quality infrastructure to reach 40% bike ridership like they have in the Netherlands. Sjors will show examples of how to effectively separate fast and slow traffic to benefit people who drive, bike, walk, and roll. He’ll also explore the effective use of materials in the right of way to delineate pathways and keep everyone safe.
