The City of Bend is working on a contract to add both missing bike lane symbols and posted signs around town. It seems that when the bike lane is a bit wide and isn’t clearly marked as such, it invites rule breakers. The hope is that not only will new signage remove any ambiguity, but it will also make it more likely that Bend Police Department will enforce car parking violations.
We’ve seen some consistent violations happening on NW Riverside, SW Colorado, and NE Scott (pictured above).
