We’re very excited that an Open Streets project is being planned in Bend. If you’re looking for an on-road car-free ride this weekend, check out the McKenzie Pass Scenic Bikeway.
It’s the last weekend this year where the road will be closed to cars from gate to gate. Last weekend, Bend Bikes Board member Chris Heaps suggested a ride to the Dee Wright Observatory and back towards Sisters. We parked west of Sisters High School on Oregon Route 242 at an area campground and thoroughly enjoyed the views at the top.
