SUMMARY:Call to Action: Complete the Innovative Mobility Program Survey
DESCRIPTION:The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is designing a new $20 million-dollar Innovative Mobility Program (IMP)\, which aims to provide climate-friendly\, equitable\, and accessible alternatives to driving alone. They are looking for feedback from folks who have been intentionally excluded and underserved by the current transportation system to understand what kind of support ODOT can provide to encourage sustainable travel options like riding a bike. \nTake the survey here by September 30th to share your thoughts. Consider including ideas like bike share programs\, state bike share passes\, infrastructure\, free bike equipment\, and others.

SUMMARY:Public Comment for Midtown Crossing Projects at CAAB Meeting
DESCRIPTION:A summary of community feedback on the Midtown Bicycle and Pedestrian Crossing projects is now available to the public! The next steps for these potential GO Bond projects is for City Council to receive recommendations from a working group comprised of members from the Core Area Advisory Board (CAAB) and the Transportation Bond Oversight Committee (TBOC). Provide your public comment to CAAB in person on Thursday\, September 15th or visit the website below to join the meeting virtually. \nThese public comment periods are the best way to make your voice heard! Review the Midtown Bicycle and Pedestrian Crossing Open House summary here. \nA note to our supporters: Bend Bikes sees the most potential for near-term safety improvements at Greenwood where there is plenty of space to work with and options for quick-build protected bike lanes. Having these safety improvements at Greenwood will help alleviate detour stress when Franklin is improved and Hawthorne is constructed. Our dreams for Franklin and Hawthorne both require time consuming and expensive permitting\, planning\, and construction processes\, so our hope is that the behind-the-scenes work progresses while we move forward with Greenwood.
