DESCRIPTION:Event Details\nWorld Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims in the US. We will gather at Peace Corner to stand with those affected by road traffic crashes. \nWe will pause on this day to read the proclamation we have submitted to the Bend City Council and then hear from City Councilor Gina Franzosa and community members who have been impacted by traffic violence.  \nAfter the memorial event\, we will join together for a bike ride along NW Wall Street\, then NW Riverside Drive by Drake Park. The ride will then return to the Peace Corner along NW Harmon Blvd. and NW Newport Ave.   \nThis year we are asking for concrete change toward safer streets on this day of remembrance and reflection. We would like the city to take immediate action toward lowering residential speed limits to 20mph; a low cost\, quick to implement step in the right direction toward slower\, safer streets.  \nPlease plan to join us as we remember those lost and injured as well as to advocate for changes in residential speed limits to 20 MPH. \nWhen\nSunday\, November 15\, 2026\n12:00 PM to 2:00 PM PT \nWhere\nPeace Corner\n1077 NW Wall St\,\nBend\, OR 97701
