SUMMARY:Olney and Revere Intersections Online Open House
DESCRIPTION:Olney and Revere Intersections online Open House \n\nDate/Time: October 8-22\nLink: Online Open House\nCome weigh in on the initial designs for these four key intersections which will have a important bearing on the future livability of midtown and the Orchard district\n\n  \nSome key points to consider: \n8th street \n\nThe project team is currently planning a partial multi-lane roundabout at 8th and Olney that will significantly impact Laurel Pocket Park\nMulti-lane roundabout configurations introduce a number of conflict points and pose considerable dangers to people driving\, walking and biking in comparison to single lane configurations\nWe are advocating for a single lane configuration at 8th and Olney that will improve capacity for future pedestrian\, bicycle and automobile traffic while prioritizing safety for all users\n\n  \n4th street \n\nThe plan also includes additional traffic lanes on 4th st on either side of both intersections and increased volume along this corridor\nThis is the street that the Midtown Yacht Club is on and sees high pedestrian and bike traffic\, we would like to see it remain a people friendly street and continue diverting high volumes of vehicle traffic onto 3rd street where it belongs\nWe would also like to see increased protection for people on bikes and on foot at the 4th and Olney and 4th and Revere intersections\n\n  \n  \n
